Psychotherapy and Counselling - Moira Lake

Psychotherapy and counselling can address the whole range of emotional issues at every level of intensity. For many people, pain and confusion bring them into therapy. Or you may feel that you are managing your life well, but want the opportunity therapy offers for further self-awareness and growth.

As my client you will find that the healing process of therapy develops within an authentic relationship between us. I offer support and safety, together with an agreed level of challenge to help you extend your awareness and increase your range of choices in life. We can also, if you wish, include various approaches such as drawing, modelling, writing, healing and astrology.

Together we will evolve the ways of working that are most helpful to you. Generally, we will pay equal attention to what you feel, what you think, what you experience in your body, and what happens between us. We can work short-term or long-term, depending on your needs.

I am a trained couples therapist, and welcome couples of all gender combinations who wish to work on their relationships.

I also offer supervision to professionals and trainees.

Sessions last 60 minutes and cost £40-£50 per hour, to be selected by you according to what you can reasonably afford.

About Moira: I have worked in the therapeutic field since the late 1980s, and have been registered as a psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) since 1997. I have an MSc and Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy, and other training includes couples therapy, person-centred art therapy, brief therapy, deep ecology, The Work that Re-connects (with Joanna Macy), energy healing and shamanic healing. I have the Diploma of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, where I received the Margaret Hone Award for astrological interpretation.
