Shiatsu

Shiatsu - Lynne Kenderdine

Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing therapy. Rooted in Chinese medicine, the Oriental belief is that the flow of energy, (or Ki), is fundamental to good health. Ki flows through channels in the body called meridians. When Ki flow becomes blocked, symptoms of dis-ease follow. Shiatsu works holistically, uniting mind-body-spirit, helping the body re-balance.

Wonderfully relaxing, Shiatsu benefits various conditions including back pain, headaches, whiplash, neck stiffness, frozen shoulder, digestive disorders and depression. For women, it helps through cycles of change during menstruation, pregnancy and menopause. It also helps the body discharge shock following traumatic life events.

Initial treatments cost £40 and last 1.5 hours. Follow up treatments cost £30 (1 hour). Taster sessions £10 (20 minutes).
